A well-preserved crater in the lunar highlands south of Mare Nectaris.

Visual Description

Piccolomini appeared as a prominent, well-defined crater with high walls and excellent terracing. The crater floor was visible with a distinct central peak complex. The walls cast dramatic shadows when near the terminator, highlighting the crater’s depth and structure.
