Visual Description
Mitchell appeared as a moderately sized crater in the northern highlands region, located south of Mare Frigoris. The crater displayed a circular rim with some wall degradation showing its age. The floor was relatively flat with subtle interior features. Mitchell was part of a small grouping of craters in this region, providing a useful landmark when observing the northern nearside highlands.
