Visual Description

Gemma Frisius appeared as a large, ancient crater in the heavily cratered southern highlands. The crater showed significant degradation with worn walls and a floor marked by multiple later impacts. Most notably, the crater Goodacre occupied a prominent position on Gemma Frisius’s floor, creating a distinctive nested crater appearance. The overall structure demonstrated the great age of this formation and the intense bombardment history of the southern highlands.
