Visual Description
Billy appeared as a moderate-sized crater with a distinctly dark floor, indicating partial flooding by lava flows. The crater was located southwest of Oceanus Procellarum in a region with several similar dark-floored craters. Billy was immediately adjacent to the crater Hansteen, forming a prominent pair. The dark floor contrasted with the brighter surrounding highlands and crater rim, making it easily identifiable.
